Rewilding Africa CIC
Identifies and supports community led conservation projects in Africa, in partnership with government, NGO’s, communities and private sector
About us
Rewilding Africa CIC reg no: 14156597, is a not for profit Community Interest Company based in the United Kingdom.Â
We are a community-led conservation organisation working to create a new relationship between Africa’s national parks and the communities that surround them.
We believe the future of conservation cannot depend on protecting what happens inside a park while overlooking what happens around it. Through our National Park Conservancy (NPC) model, we work with governments, national park authorities, communities, traditional leaders, NGO’s and the private sector to develop thriving, nature-positive landscapes around protected areas, bringing together community-led land-use planning, conservation corridors, rewilding, sustainable enterprise, responsible tourism and investment.
Our ambition is to transform national parks from isolated islands of conservation into the anchors of wider landscapes where people, wildlife and nature can prosper together, creating lasting economic opportunities for communities while strengthening the long-term protection of Africa’s extraordinary natural heritage.
