Stephen AINA
Description
Stephen AINA is an incurable nature enthusiast with vast interests in pragmatic conservation (numerical ecology), and the deployment of conservation technology/wildlife metrics to support policy and decision-making. Driven by his passion for evidence-based conservation practices, he has led and participated in several conservation projects at the landscape and community levels in Nigeria. He coordinated the establishment of Gashaka Biodiversity Support Initiative – a rural initiative birthed to mobilize grassroots support and foster capacity for conservation in Nigeria. As a result, he is a holder of numerous awards including the Top 100 Young African Conservationist award in the year 2021. He has expert-level versatility in the use of STATA, R, ORIGIN PRO, Mobile/ODK data collection tools (such as Kobo Collect, ODK, SurveyCTO), ArcGIS/QGIS/SAGA, Power BI, and the Microsoft office suite- for project planning, schedulling and management. Mr. AINA loves wilderness adventure and spent his quiet time putting pen to paper. He has to his credit several relevant research and article publications.
