Become an Ambassador
Join the Community-Led Conservation Movement
Rewilding Africa is building a movement for a different future for Africa’s wildlife, wilderness and rural communities . One in which conservation is not simply something done for communities, but something created with and owned by them.
At the heart of this movement is our National Park Conservancy model: a community-led approach to creating thriving, nature-positive landscapes around Africa’s national parks and protected areas, connecting conservation with community development, sustainable tourism, investment, employment and long-term economic opportunity.
Our ambition is to help establish a network of new National Park Conservancy destination brands across Africa, working with governments, national park authorities, traditional and community leaders, NGOs, conservation organisations and responsible private-sector partners.
But we cannot build this movement alone.
Become an Ambassador
Whether you are an individual who cares deeply about Africa’s wildlife and communities, or a business that wants to contribute to meaningful environmental and social impact, becoming a Rewilding Africa Ambassador gives you an opportunity to actively participate in this movement.
Ambassadors become advocates for community-led conservation and help us build awareness, partnerships, funding and support for the National Park Conservancy programme.
You can help us:
• Advocate for community-led conservation and a new Conservation Economy across Africa.
• Raise awareness of the National Park Conservancy model and its potential to connect protected areas with thriving communities and landscapes.
• Mobilise funding for the planning, development and implementation of new National Park Conservancies.
• Connect us with philanthropists, impact investors, foundations, businesses, governments, NGOs and other organisations that can help turn the vision into reality.
• Champion individual National Park Conservancy projects and help bring their stories to a global audience.
• Support implementation by contributing expertise, professional services, networks, resources or practical assistance.
• Help create economic opportunity by supporting responsible tourism, conservation enterprises, community businesses and other nature-positive investments.
• Become part of a global network of individuals and businesses committed to putting people and nature at the centre of Africa’s future.
From Advocacy to Action
The Ambassador programme is not simply about raising awareness. It is about helping move projects from vision to implementation.
Rewilding Africa advocates a two-phase approach to National Park Conservancy development.
Phase 1 – Destination Brand Development
We work with national park authorities, governments, communities and stakeholders to establish the strategic proposition, identity and destination development framework for a National Park Conservancy – creating a compelling platform around which communities, conservation partners, investors and responsible tourism businesses can collaborate.
Phase 2 – Conservancy Planning, Development & Management
The destination strategy then provides the platform for a structured programme of community engagement, natural-resource assessment, land-use planning and zoning, governance, investment facilitation, conservation-economy development, rewilding and long-term conservancy management.
Together, these phases are designed to transform fragmented landscapes surrounding national parks into integrated, community-led conservation economies in which biodiversity, people and sustainable enterprise can prosper together.
Your Influence Can Create Lasting Impact
Every Ambassador brings something different.
You may have a network that can open doors.
You may be able to introduce potential funders or investors.
You may have professional skills that can help a project.
You may be a business looking for a meaningful impact partnership.
Or you may simply have a passion for Africa and a desire to help protect its extraordinary natural heritage.
Whatever your contribution, your influence can help create a chain of impact:
Advocate → Connect → Fund → Develop → Conserve → Create Opportunity
By becoming a Rewilding Africa Ambassador, you are helping us build the partnerships and resources required to empower wilderness communities to become the custodians, beneficiaries and long-term guardians of their own natural landscapes.
Become Part of the Movement
Africa does not simply need more conservation projects. It needs a new generation of community-led conservation economies that make wildlife and healthy ecosystems valuable to the people who live alongside them.
