Kruger Conservancy

The proposed Kruger Conservancy would explore the creation of a coordinated conservation economy around Kruger National Park, connecting the park with neighbouring private reserves, communal landscapes and other conservation areas. Its potential lies in strengthening wildlife connectivity across the wider Greater Kruger landscape while creating opportunities for community participation, conservation enterprise, tourism and nature-positive investment.

The initiative could build upon the region’s internationally recognised conservation infrastructure to demonstrate how a national park can function as the ecological anchor of an even larger, economically integrated conservation landscape, as the flagship community led conservancy for the new portfolio of Conservancy brands around all of South Africas national parks.
