Short biography
Georgina Goodwin is a Kenyan documentary and conservation photographer and visual storyteller based in Nairobi. Working across East and Central Africa for more than two decades, her work explores the relationships between people, wildlife, livelihoods and changing landscapes, with a particular focus on community-led conservation and environmental change.
Her work has been published by The New York Times, The Guardian, Conservation International and The Nature Conservancy, among others. Georgina is an Associate Fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers, a Canon Certified Trainer, and founder of GGI Media, a visual storytelling and education platform that supports and elevates photographers from across the continent. She also mentors photographers through programmes including Vital Impacts, World Press Photo, Women in Wildlife, Girls Who Click and African Women Photograph.
