The proposed Serengeti Conservancy would create a wider landscape framework around the Serengeti ecosystem, recognising that the great migration and the area’s wildlife cannot be contained within the boundaries of a single protected area. The concept would seek to strengthen relationships between the national park, neighbouring community areas, wildlife corridors and dispersal zones while creating sustainable economic opportunities from tourism and conservation.
