The Mole Conservancy is envisioned as a community-led conservation and sustainable development landscape surrounding Mole National Park, one of Ghana’s flagship protected areas and an important refuge for West Africa’s remaining wildlife. The proposed conservancy would create a collaborative buffer and wildlife-supporting landscape around the park, connecting communities, conservation, tourism and sustainable enterprise. Through the Rewilding Africa CIC National Park Conservancy model, the initiative seeks to strengthen community ownership, improve land-use planning and develop nature-positive economic opportunities, while creating a more resilient and connected landscape for wildlife and people.
